Introduce KTC city buses during rush hours

It is observed that city buses operating in the various cities are usually overcrowded with passengers even hanging dangerously from the doors.

This overcrowding takes place especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. One of the reasons could be less number of city buses. Another reason could be that city bus operators want to maximize their profit by packing their buses beyond capacity.

However the prime reason could be that the traffic police prefer to look the other way and not penalize these buses. While passengers have no other option but to travel in these overcrowded buses in order to reach their workplace in time or to reach home after work, travelling in such buses could be both uncomfortable and dangerous for those standing near the doors.

The government needs to introduce more city KTC buses during rush hours. There should be proper timings and it should also be mandatory for doors of the city buses to remain closed when the vehicles are on the move.
