Cuncolim Police have booked a man for allegedly sexually abusing a woman on the pretext of marriage.
In her complaint, the woman stated that the accused person befriended her in 2018 and had sexual intercourse with her on several occasions in the jurisdiction of Cuncolim Police Station under the false pretext of marrying her.
She further stated that the accused person refused to marry her and instead registered his marriage with another woman. “On September 21, 2024 the accused person assaulted the complainant and forcefully took her in his swift car and had forceful sexual intercourse without her consent and against her will,” the police stated.
In this connection, the Cuncolim Police have registered a case under sections 64, 69, 115 of the BNS.
