A mega health camp will be conducted at the Murgao School in Sada-Vasco on Sunday, where specialists from 18 departments of Goa Medical College (GMC) will provide free medical check-ups.
Speaking at a press conference, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar said the medical camp, to be inaugurated by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, will brings senior GMC doctors to the doorstep of Mormugao residents.
The mega health camp will begin at 8 am and will feature specialists from dental, ENT, diabetes control, Ayush services, gynaecology, paediatrics, surgery, dermatology, and more. Patients who have recently undergone surgeries can also consult doctors for post-operative reviews.
The camp will prioritise referrals and registration at GMC for patients needing advanced treatment or surgery. Key medical officials, including OPD heads, health officers from sub-district and district hospitals, and the Dean of GMC, will be present at the camp.
Registration will take place between 8 am and 10.30 am, but all registered patients will be examined, even if it takes until 7.30 pm.
"This is the first time such a large-scale health camp is being organised in Mormugao. I urge everyone, especially the elderly, to attend and benefit from this initiative," Amonkar added.
