Only 2 JEs at Valpoi PWD to handle entire Sattari

VALPOI
Despite growing water complaints and erratic water supply, locals have complained that there is also a shortage of engineers at the Valpoi PWD office, which caters to the entire Sattari taluka.

According to locals, there are only two engineers at the Valpoi PWD office and while two others have been promoted and moved elsewhere, they have not been replaced by other engineers.

“Two junior engineers have been promoted to assistant engineers and they have not been replaced. The remaining two engineers have been left to manage the Valpoi PWD office which caters to 12 panchayats and one municipality in Sattari,” said a resident.

“There are a growing number of complaints regarding water shortage and erratic water supply and these two engineers cannot handle the demands of the entire Sattari taluka.” “The State government must immediately depute additional junior engineers at the Valpoi PWD office,” the resident added.
