198 test Covid positive, no deaths recorded

No Covid related deaths were recorded in the mortality bulletin of the Directorate of Health Services on Saturday. This is the fourth such instance in the month of November.

The number of Covid victims in the State remains stable at 686 for now. 

The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours remained high and 198 

new cases of the infection were detected from among the 2,520 samples tested in the State in the last 24 hours. 

Incidentally, the gradual rise in the number of new cases being detected has been attributed to the increased testing.

The total number of confirmed cases so far now stands at 47,789. Of these, 45,655 or 95.73 per cent have recovered while 1,348 cases are presently active.
