Government’s Tika Utsav at Raia on Tuesday evoked poor response with the health authorities saying only five persons turned up to take the anti-Covid vaccine.
Loutolim Primary Health Officer Dr Vinesh Gaonkar, however, said the PHC had recently organised a three-day camp in the village, wherein around 200 villagers had got themselves vaccinated against coronavirus.
Sources pointed out that since the government had fixed the Tika Utsav in the village on Tuesday, the Salcete BDO officer has asked the Loutolim PHC officials to hold the programme even though the PHC had successfully held a three-day programme.
