Expressing concern over the timings and nature of the arrest of Aam Admi Party President Amit Palekar by the Goa police, Goa Forward party Chief Vijai Sardesai has said the arrest of the AAP Goa chief in connection with the Banastarim accident case under a stringent non-bailable section of the IPC gives the impression of it being a political move that came as an afterthought.
He said there’s a strong shadow of suspicion and doubt surrounding the motive behind this arrest, which was made after considerable time had elapsed following the incident.
