The mega recruitment drive in the police department resumed on Friday for the post of PSIs and police constables.
The recruitment drive for around 10,000 posts in various departments had started a few months before assembly elections, but it was halted due to the election code of conduct and resumed once the election results were declared.
The police department was the first to resume the recruitment process, with the department on Friday resuming the recruitment process for the post of PSI and police constables.
NCC cadets who had applied for the posts and those NCC cadets who had cleared the physical and written examinations were called to the police headquarters.
Hundreds of candidates went to the police headquarters and submitted their documents.
