Pernem police arrested a 38-year-old Russian national on charges of possessing drugs at Mandrem.
According to Pernem Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, police received information that a Russian national, identified as Oleg Malyshev, was procuring drugs for further supply.
A police team conducted a raid on Monday evening and seized drugs valued at Rs 4,300 from his possession.
The accused has been arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
PSI Sanjit Kandolkar is investigating under the supervision of Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi.
