With the New Year approaching, he said it is essential to keep the highways in good condition to avoid disruption of supplies and hardship for thousands of families and traders.
He urged the government to prioritize the repair and strengthening of the ghat sections, introduce proper monitoring, warning systems, and rescue arrangements, and speed up ongoing works to ensure the highways remain safe, motorable, and reliable year-round.
