A 48-year-old man from Sodiem-Siolim died while another rider was hurt when two two-wheelers collided with each other at Shelpe-Duler on Monday.
Police said the incident took place along the Shelpe-Cunchelim road at around 11.45 am when the two-wheelers ridden by Sameer Vernekar and Mahamgad Rashid (24) collided with each other.
Both were moved to the Mapusa District Hospital and Vernekar was referred to the GMC hospital, where he breathed his last in the evening. Rashid is undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
Mapusa PSI Richa Bhosle and Hawaldar Sandip Madkaikar conducted panchanama and further investigation is underway.
