A 70-year-old man died while another rider was injured when two two-wheelers collided with each other on the road between Waghure and Shingane in Pissurlem-Sattari.
According to reports, the incident took place at about 5 pm, when Mahadev Datta Gawade of Shantinagar-Pissurlem was riding his motorcycle and returning to Pissurlem after dropping off a person at Shingane-Sattari, while the other two-wheeler was being driven by Krishna Wayangankar (20) of Advai.
Following the mishap, both riders sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital, where Gawade died while undergoing treatment. Valpai police conducted the panchanama and sent the body for an autopsy at the GMC hospital in Bambolim.
