A day after a major brawl during a music event at the Fr Agnel School ground in Pilar, Agassaim police registered an offence and arrested 10 persons, including the main organiser.
Police said nine of the arrested are from Jharkhand and one from Chhattisgarh.
As per the State’s complaint, organiser Suraj Lohra, along with nine others and around 10 unidentified persons, created a public nuisance by shouting, fighting and behaving in a threatening manner.
Ten have been arrested, while efforts are on to trace the remaining accused.
The incident took place around 3 pm on December 7 when Lohra (25), a resident of Saligao and native of Jharkhand, hosted the music programme. A fight broke out between the organisers and members of the public and later turned violent.
Police said the group damaged the sound system, stage and other equipment, and assaulted the sound system owner. When police intervened, the accused allegedly pelted stones, injuring police personnel on duty.
