With Coronavirus infection rising rapidly, at least 10 areas have been declared as micro containment zones in Mapusa.
The North Goa Collector has issued an order declaring Althino, Housing Board-Ganeshpuri, Dattawadi, Khorlim-Ganganagar, Ekta Nagar, Dangui Colony, Karaswada, Shetyavaddo, Duler and Gaunsavaddo as micro-containment zones.
The administration has also listed several measures to be taken to stop the spread of the virus.
The collector has issued a detailed plan to tackle the situation which includes screening and testing of suspect cases, isolation, quarantining and other public health measures.
The administration has also deployed a rapid response team in the affected areas.
