The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Goa government for claiming to have provided 100% tap water connection to every household in the state.
AAP alleged that this is a narrative to divert Goans from the ‘Mhadei issue’. AAP interim convenor Rahul Mhambre stated that the government is merely creating a smokescreen and questioned how the state can have sufficient water supply if Goa loses River Mhadei.
“Few days back PM modi spoke about extracting water from air. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant must have learned this trick because once Mhadei runs dry, this would be the only way to provide drinking water to every household”, Mhambre quipped while accusing CM Sawant of deflecting attention by making such irresponsible statements and developing a false narrative.
