Bicholim police are investigating the case of a 10-year-old boy who has accused his mother of assaulting him in their house.
According to police reports, a complaint was filed on Tuesday night stating that the incident had taken place at about 9 am on April 21 when the woman is alleged to have assaulted her son with a rod, thereby causing simple injuries, following a dispute between both parents.
The boy’s complaint was recorded in the presence of a Child Helpline member and he was later taken to the Bicholim Community Health Centre (CHC), where he was examined by the medical officer on duty.
Bicholim PSI Rashmit Parab Matonkar is investigating the case.
