Vasco police on Wednesday interrogated about 120 Saptah stall operators in connection with the death of a seven-year-old boy who had gone missing on Sunday
evening.
A visit to the Vasco police station on Wednesday morning revealed that a huge number of stall vendors had been summoned for interrogation in the case.
Sources in Vasco police said all vendors operating in and around the location of the site where the boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances were called for interrogation.
“There were around 120 vendors who were called for interrogation. The vendors were from the area where the boy was last seen playing and the area in and around the site where the boy was found dead. The police are probing every possible angle in this case,” said a police
source.
When contacted, Mormugao DySP Sunita Sawant agreed that over 100 people were interrogated on Wednesday morning.
“We have called around 100 people for interrogation and we are in the process of investigating the matter. We are trying to probe the circumstances leading to the disappearance and death of the boy, besides other related angles in the case,” said DySP Sawant.
