16 fresh infections in Pernem taluka

Sixteen new Covid cases were detected, taking the overall Covid count to 1,321 in Pernem taluka.

The cases were detected in Mandrem (2), Morjim (1), Chopdem (2), Parcem (1), Tuem (1), Dhargal (5), Ibrampur (1), Chandel (2) and Kasarwarne (1).

So far, 12 people have succumbed to the virus. Mopa is the worst affected panchayat with 210 cases, followed by Mandrem (153), Pernem town (105), Tuem (96), Dhargal (83), Korgao (71) and Aramabol (69).
