CANACONA
Two persons were detained in a raid at Polem in the wee hours of Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, Canacona police detained two persons near a bar a few metres away from the border check post at Polem at about 3 am and recovered Ganja weighing 406 grams of Ganja valued at Rs 40,600 from their possession.
According to Canacona police, the accused are Mathivanan P R (29) of Trichy and Shivkukar Selvaraj (27) of Sadashivgad-Karwar.
The raiding team was led by Canacona PI Tulshidas Naik, PSI Ramchandra Naik and LPSI Rifha Baretto and was supervised by Dy SP Canacona Shivendu Bhushan, IPS.
