2 held for assaulting 4 in Shiroda

Two persons were arrested by Ponda Police on charges of assaulting four persons under the influence of alcohol at Karai-Shiroda on Thursday night.

Police have arrested Akshay Naik and Ravikumar Gosavi from Pandegal-Shiroda.

According to the police, two groups had fight outside a wine shop at about 11 pm on Thursday, and four persons were injured in the fight. The injured, Shodhan Naik, Kartik Naik, Jayesh Naik and Sujay Naik, were taken to the Shiroda Primary Health Centre.

While three others were later discharged, Shodhan Naik was later admitted at the hospital in Margao.

Police is conducting further investigations.
