2 more succumb to Covid, 156 new infections

Goa failed to hang on to Thursday’s record of zero Covid deaths and reported two fatalities in the last 24 hours, including a 29-year old youth from Pernem.

The second person to lose the battle against the dreaded virus was an 84-year old man from Mapusa. 

Both died at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, taking the aggregrate deaths since the pandemic hit Goa to 658.

The official bulletin also said that the youngster from Pernem breathed his last within the first hour of being admitted. 

Meanwhile, 1551 samples were tested in the 24-hour period of Thursday-Friday and 156 of them reported positive.
