A youth from Bihar, who decamped with valuables and cash from at least five shops in the Mapusa municipal market, has been arrested by the local
police.
The accused identified as Chandan Das, aged 21 years, damaged the properties in a bid to enter the shops, which were shut on the occasion of Liberation Day, and decamped with valuables
and cash.
The police registered the case based on complaints filed by the owners and traced the accused followed by his arrest for the offense.
