Car hit parked truck on highway

A youth was killed when a car rammed into a truck which was parked on the roadside at Pansule on the Dharbandora-Belagavi Highway on Sunday night.
According to reports, the mishap took place as Uttam Sinha (23) from Haveli-Curti was travelling from Mole towards Ponda and did not notice a Karnataka-registered truck parked by the roadside at Pansule.
Sinha was seriously injured in the mishap and was moved to the Dharbandora Hospital and later shifted to the GMC Hospital at Bambolim, where he died while undergoing treatment. Ponda police are investigating the incident.
