Canacona
Two occupants in a car were injured in a self-accident on the old NH-66 road at Tamnem-Loliem in Canacona on Monday evening.
According to sources, a car was proceeding from Poinguinim towards Maxem-Loliem when the driver reportedly lost control and the car rammed into a roadside tree and toppled.
The two occupants were stranded in the car and were later pulled out by locals who rushed to the site on hearing the sound of the accident.
After contacting the 108 emergency services, the locals had both injured persons shifted to the CHC at Canacona, from where they were referred to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao.
