MARGAO
A group of men harassed a woman in Varca and later attacked her boyfriend. Colva Police arrested one accused, Sunil Bilavai from Margao, and remanded him to five days in custody.
The search is on for Akshay Talwar from Borda and an unidentified man.
The incident occurred on 10 December 2024 at around 3:20 am outside a hotel in Varca. According to the Orlim-based complainant, the trio made an inappropriate remark, saying “sexy legs,” to his girlfriend, insulting her modesty.
When he objected, they abused him using offensive language and physically assaulted him with punches, kicks, and a potted plant, causing injuries.
The accused also prevented him from leaving and later returned with an iron rod, threatening him with serious consequences.
A case has been registered under multiple sections of the BNS, and police are continuing their investigation.
