The Maina Curtorim police have recovered a child in conflict with the law along with two others in connection with the theft of Yamaha motorcycles. The child has been sent to Apna Ghar, Merces, while the police have arrested Sujal Naik from Kirbhat-Nuvem and Kunal Naik from Ambaji-Margao.
Police said they have recovered three stolen Yamaha motorcycles from the accused. The case was registered on 27 March based on a complaint by Lesly Lourença Carvalho, a resident of Rumbordem, Curtorim. He reported that his Yamaha motorcycle, parked near his house, had been stolen by unknown persons.
During questioning, the accused admitted to the crime. Based on their statements, the police seized a Maruti Suzuki Swift car allegedly used in the crime, as well as three stolen Yamaha motorcycles. These include a Yamaha RXG 135cc linked to the case, a Yamaha motorcycle reportedly stolen from Colva police station limits, and a Yamaha RX-100 stolen from Margao Town police station limits.
The investigation is being led by PSI Sanket S. Naik under the guidance of PI Arun A. Gauns Dessai, with supervision from SDPO Margao Siddhant U. Shirodkar and overall supervision of SP (South) Margao, Tikam Singh Verma.
