SANGUEM:
Three youth from Quepem led by Ricky Hornekar saved the life of a cow which had accidentally fallen into the main canal of Selaulim Irrigation Project at Quepem.
The cow was reportedly struggling in water for almost two days when the incident was brought to the notice of Ricky Hornekar who immediately ran to the site and jumped into the canal to save the struggling cow.
Assisted by two other youth, Hornekar managed to pull the struggling cow out of the water.
The cow was later shifted to a cattle shed at Rivona for treatment which she is reported to be doing well.
Incidentally Ricky and his friends are saving the lives of cattle in Curchorem and Quepem areas for quite some time. Whenever any cow is injured in an accident or is found to be in distress, Hornekar and his friends rush to the site to save the injured cattle and provide medical care.
