39-year-old Odisha tourist dies in Calangute

A 39-year-old tourist from Odisha died after a swim in the pool of a hotel in Calangute on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, Tajinder Singh had come along with his family to Goa for a holiday.

He had gone to the hotel’s swimming pool for a swim and after some time, began to vomit.

He was immediately taken out of the pool by his family and others and admitted to the GMC hospital for treatment, but died later in the evening.

On receiving information about the incident, Calangute police went to the spot and conducted an inquest. After an autopsy, the body was handed over to the family on Friday morning. Further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Sneha Sawal under the guidance of Police Inspector Paresh Naik.
