Four young women from villages across Belagavi and Kolhpaur regions hailing from the vernacular medium background have achieved a flying career in the aviation industry.
Students of the Aptech Aviation Academy, Nafiya Shivapur, an Urdu medium student from Belagavi, Shifa Mulla from Sangli district, Anjali Dhane from Satara district and Laxmi Omkar from Bailhongal village, have been selected for onboard services by different airlines.
While Nafiya has been selected as an airhostess at Vistara Airlines, Anjali Dhane, Laxmi Omkar and Shifa Mulla have been selected for onboard catering services of Air India.
Two others, Sanika More from Kanagla village and Mitali Gaonkar from Dandeli village, have been selected for the lounge services at Bengaluru airport.
At a felicitation programme at the Aptech Aviation Academy, regional placement head of Aptech Akhil Krishnan said that girls from rural areas are achieving success in the aviation and hospitality industry due to their commitment and hard work.
