PANAJIThe Hemophilia Society Goa held a patient education programme and occupational therapy camp in association with Goa Medical College recently at GMC where blood screening for Hepatitis B and C was also held. The project was headed by Dr Ramnath Nevrekar, MD medicine (GMC) with Dr Mahadeva Swami, haematologist, Manipal Hospital Goa as the guest speaker. Dr Vaishali Joshi, head of the department of paediatrics at GMC extended her full support to paediatric patients with haemophilia. Dr Chetan Gaude, lecturer in occupational therapy at GMC, demonstrated exercises to keep joints fit and healthy for haemophilia and other illnesses. A total of 30 patients including children and adults availed the services offered at the camp. Other dignitaries present were Dr Lorraine D’sa, Dr Sujata Jalmi, Dr Nikita Colimao, Dr Arfa Menezes and Anisha Vaigankar.
