The age old saying goes "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," What we see here is utter disgusting, garbage strewn all over not cleared promptly, and seldom servicing of unattended central sewage chambers and lines. People habitually toss garbage all along road sides, with scant regard to hygiene. The same garbage ends up in storm drains severely clogging them. While we dwell on this topic of central sewage there is one huge new chamber being constructed smack on the main junction of intersection where buses turn in and out of the main highway in Margao. This causes a lot of snarls in traffic movements. We see mini Sonsodos springing up everywhere on road sides, open spaces, fields due to lack of civic sense, people prefer to toss their waste onto road sides or plots, which can be avoided by providing dustbins on every 50 metres of the stretch with routine clearing of bins which is absolutely essential. Unattended heaps of garbage will see all types of creatures feasting on and scattering filth on to the roads and open spaces, which should be dealt with in a timely manner, by providing the right amenities.
