This is with reference to the report, "Another drug overdose scare............ - The Goan Everyday November 23, 2022." The news of yet another victim of drug overdose is definitely cause for concern. There is no doubt that drugs have the capacity to destroy families and so all steps must be taken to curb this menace of drugs. This trend of rave parties, not only in Goa but everywhere else, must be brought to an end. According to the news report, this is the fourth case of drug overdose in Goa within a span of three months. This is worrying. While the authorities take all steps to curb this menace of drugs, it would certainly help if more awareness is created about the ill effects of drugs. Perhaps counselling could go a long way in preventing drug abuse. One must enjoy life to the full of course, but we need to understand that there is always a limit to all things. The moment we cross that 'Lakshman Rekha', disaster is not far behind.
