In a late evening raid, the Margao police on Wednesday raided a computer casino gambling den in the Aquem area of the city and seized cash and material, including computers.
The raid was led by Margao Police station in-charge, PI Tulsidas Naik and personnel.
Acting on a tip-off that computer casino gambling activity is being carried out on the premises, the police team swooped on the premises late Wednesday evening and confiscated the gambling material and cash.
Though the police informed that they are verifying the exact cash seized in the operation, gambling materials such as computers were seized and transported to the Margao police station.
Sub-divisional Police Officer, Margao DySP Shivenu Bhushan also visited the site and supervised the operation.
The police is investigating the matter.
