PANAJI:
The Goa Police on Wednesday promoted 48 constables to the rank of head constables. The order comes less than a month after the department promoted 113 personnel wherein 45 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) were elevated to the rank of Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs), 44 HCs to ASIs and 24 Police Constables were promoted to HCs.
In the latest promotion order issued on recommendation of the police establishment board and approval of Director General of Police Alok Kumar, the department has asked the promotees to submit their acceptance within one month failing which, it will be treated as refusal of promotion and they would be debarred from future promotion for one year or till the date next vacancy arises, whichever is later.
