A driver of a Nano car had a miraculous escape after the vehicle was engulfed in flames at Khareband here on Saturday noon.
Fire officer Gill de Souza informed that the issues pertaining to vehicle battery have been suspected as the cause behind the fire.
Sources said the vehicle suddenly stopped on the road and minutes later was engulfed in a fire.
The driver immediately moved out of the car.
Margao Fire brigade, which had rushed to Khareband, later extinguished the fire, but the vehicle was destroyed in the blaze.
