Although direction boards serve a basic purpose of providing guidance to innocent travellers, there are instances wherein some of them exist in a neglected condition.
Under such circumstances, travellers do not receive the necessary benefit while proceeding along the concerned routes. A case in point is a dilapidated board existing in the vicinity of main bus-stop at Farmagudi in Ponda.
This particular board depicts the direction towards Goa Engineering College situated in the interior (at Farmagudi) and also towards the city of Panaji.
However, the same being in a totally dilapidated condition, it proves useless for vehicular traffic. During recent years this particular matter has been lying almost neglected.
In the interest of travellers it is absolutely necessary for the concerned authorities to provide a facelift to this dilapidated signboard so that it serves its basic purpose on a permanent basis.
Prompt favourable action in this regard would certainly be appreciated by one and all.
