It is learnt that India’s national tricolor came to the rescue of not only the stranded Indians but also those hailing from Pakistan and Turkey from crossing into neighbouring countries of Ukraine.
It is learnt that the students bought colour sprays and a curtain which they cut and spray painted it in order to make the Indian tricolor. The Indian tricolor was of great help for the Pakistani students to safely cross the various checkpoints.
This aspect should be noted by the Pakistani government. The Pakistani authorities need to realize the importance of the Indian tricolor in bringing their students safely back home.
It may be recalled that India has abstained from voting against Russia as the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution deploring Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
India continued to maintain its neutral stance and this is reportedly India’s third abstention in less than a week on Russia’s military offensive.
This move by India has been widely welcomed and in all probability helped the students from India, Pakistan and Turkey to safely leave the war zone in Ukraine by using the Indian tricolor.
On the other hand Pakistan has imposed economic sanctions on Russia and has refused to repay loans. It is learnt that Pakistan has a debt of over $ 1 billion which it has refused to repay now.
