Quepem Police arrested five locals from Cavrem once again on charges of blocking transportation of e-auctioned ore from Cavrem mine to Capxem jetty.
The five locals “ Sameer Gaonkar, Ravindra Velip, Suraj Gaonkar, Pravas Velip and Lav Velip “ were again arrested by Quepem police. The same villagers were arrested on Monday for allegedly obstructing e-auctioned ore trucks, which were transporting ore from Cavrem mine to Capxem.
Quepem police have booked them under Sections 341, 143, 147 read with 149 of IPC.
Later, they were produced before JMFC court Quepem, who remanded them to 11 days judicial custody at Sada Sub Jail Headland Sada, informed PSI Nathan Almeida, who is investigating the case.
