PANAJI
There have been no cases thus far of Goa's legislators testing positive for Covid-19 a day after they made a beeline to local government testing hospitals and health centres after Panaji MLA Atanasio Monserrate tested positive on Friday last.
Speaker of Goa legislative assembly, Rajesh Patnekar said, reports of at least six legislators he has received have turned out negative and he expects all reports to reach his office by Monday noon.
Patnekar also said there is no move to tinker with the schedule of the ongoing Budget session. There is no sitting on Monday on account of the 'Holi' holiday.
The advisory of the legislature secretary Namrata Ulman had said all MLAs to avail swab testing at government facilities in their respective areas. Primary contacts, staff and others who may have been in contact with MLAs were also advised to undergo testing on Saturday and Sunday.
