6 Naval personnel go ‘berserk’, detained

Vasco Police late Thursday night detained six naval personnel for allegedly creating nuisance at a restaurant in Vasco.
According to sources, the naval officers, who were off duty, allegedly started creating nuisance in the restaurant under influence of alcohol and the entire event was recorded on the CCTV in the restaurant.
Sources said the restaurant owner informed the matter to Vasco Police, who rushed to the site, attached their vehicles and took them to Vasco Police station for inquiry.
According to Vasco PI Nolasco Raposo, six naval officers, who were off duty, were detained and they have been sent for medical examination at Cottage Hospital Chicalim to ascertain consumption of alcohol.
PI Raposo also informed that the police will take further necessary action after obtaining the medical report.
