A major theft was reported from a villa in Nagoa after unidentified burglars allegedly broke into the property through an open kitchen window and decamped with seven mobile phones worth several lakhs of rupees.

According to a complaint lodged by Trisha Vijay Kumar Kedia (24), a student from Hyderabad, the theft took place at around 4 am on July 5 at Villa Olive in Nagoa, Bardez.

Police said the two unidentified accused gained entry into the villa through an open kitchen window before stealing seven mobile phones – an Oppo F21 Pro, an iPhone 15 Pro, an iPhone 13, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, an iPhone 16 Plus, a Samsung mobile phone and a Samsung S22 – along with two mobile phone charging adapters.

Based on the complaint, the Anjuna Police registered a case under Section 305 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the unidentified accused.

Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Saish Shetgaonkar of Anjuna police station.
