According to police, the incident took place on Sunday at 7 pm over the issue of parking of a two-wheeler on the road. Police said Anisha Kavthankar said her nephew, Prasad Kavthankar, had parked his motorcycle on the road near her house, when Shailesh Bagkar came in a truck.
The complainant further stated that Bagkar started abusing them and after some time, Shailesh along with his brother Pravin, Parshuram, Geetesh and Siddesh Bagkar started assaulting Arjun, Pritesh, Prasad, Smitesh and Achut Kavthankar.
Acting on Anisha’s complaint, Mapusa Police booked four members of the Bagkar family.
