A: We started 'Kris Kross' readymade garments showroom behind Grace Church, next to Bank of Baroda, Margao on July 24, 2006, and it has been ten years since then. Three years back, we established yet another showroom near Hospicio Hospital, Margao.
A: It ranges for kids wear (boys and girls), for the new born, wardrobe for ladies and gents as well as branded products of companies such as Oxemberg, Peter England, Live In, Duke, etc. We also stock undergarments (for ladies and gents), accessories like bags, wallets, belts, deodorants, perfumes, etc. The entire attire for all age groups is available under one roof at reasonable rates. If the customer is satisfied, he will automatically be my advertisement.
A: The showroom caters to all types of clients, ranging from government/bank/corporate office staff and officers as well as the common man, all are my clients. Basically, the customer should get a good product at a reasonable price.
A: Too many readymade garment showrooms have come up. Besides, the prices of garments have also increased, which makes it difficult on our part to explain the same to the customer. That's why, prices of some garments at this showroom are kept steady, by reducing my profit margin.
A: Ten years ago, there were only some five showrooms in the area extending from Gaylin restaurant right up to the far end of Pajifond. Today, that number has risen in excess of 50, that too only of readymade garments. Besides this, there are showrooms of branded readymade wear as well. It is also by selling products at a reasonable rate and offering discounts that I satisfy my customers. A satisfied customer is the best advertisement.
A: I do not announce any sale or scheme to clear the dead stock. I offer discounts every year and it is through additional discount that the dead stock is moved.
A: The customer gives importance to the fit of the garment. Readymade garments stocked at this showroom are as per the desired fit of the customer. For instance, in the men's trouser category, a wide range classified into categories like comfort fit, slim fit and ultra slim fit is available to cater to the desired fit of the respective customer. In view of this, I do not visualise the fashion trend turning towards 'made-to-order' garments.
A: Basically, I want to focus on Margao and Salcete.
A: People will opt more for the casual, semi-casual wear while 'prints' will be the preferred choice in shirting. Style changes due to the onset of modernisation.
