The Aam Aadmi Party in Goa has held Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as being solely responsible for precipitating an already volatile situation on the Mhadei issue.
"CM Parrikar should be held responsible for precipitating the situation during the festive season by writing a silly letter to the Karnataka BJP President on Mhadei issue purely for political gains for his party and fuelling discord among people," AAP's Valmiki Naik said in a strongly worded statement issued on Tuesday.
"His act is unbecoming of the office he holds. He is sowing seeds of enmity between people of different regions in India. He is liable for criminal action," Naik.
Naik went on to call Parrikar a puppet in the hands of the BJP's central leadership.
"He seems to have become a puppet in the hands of BJP's central leadership, especially the party president Amit Shah whose full-time job is to get votes by any means. Goa has noticed how he is willing to put lives of the innocent in peril by allowing Karnataka BJP to incite mob frenzy. We condemn the BJP for mixing politics with governance for electoral gains," Naik added.
