The term ‘bhagoda’ has been used by several national leaders of BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while referring to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.
“Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s claim in public that it was the pressure of running the Defence Ministry, in particular the vexed Kashmir issue, that got to him and facilitated his grabbing the opportunity to return to Goa politics is a self-admission that he is a bhagoda,” the AAP’s Valmiki Naik declared in a statement released on Saturday evening.
“Since 2012, when he took over as CM of Goa, Parrikar has proved to be nothing but an overrated, U-turn expert who mishandled the affairs of State and Country’s defence ministry,” Naik stated further.
“With his own admission that he could not handle the pressure, Parrikar has proved AAP right. He has abandoned our country’s defence and is a bhagoda,” Naik said.
Naik also declared the aftermath of the Goa election result as ‘stage managed drama’. “Goa Forward Party, MGP and independents putting the condition that Parrikar return as CM was stage-managed drama for Parrikar to head coalition of corrupt, Congress turncoats. Parrikar snatched the initiative and imposed himself on Goa,” he argued.
AAP challenged Parrikar to come clean over the financial benefits he allegedly extended to the Goa Forward, MGP and the independents for stating in their letters of support that it is they who wanted him back as the Chief Minister.
