AAP conducts Chintan Baithak at Navelim

MARGAO

The Aam Aadmi Party, South Goa unit had a Chintan Baithak on Tuesday at Navelim, wherein the party did a post-mortem over the recently-held assembly election results and to prepare the way forward, more so with Panchayat elections round the corner and the Lok Sabha polls just two years away.

The meeting held under the leadership of Mahadev Naik, Maharashtra in charge, Adv Amit Palekar and Gerson Gomes, was attended by Party MLAs, Cruz Silva and Venzy Viegas, besides all the AAP candidates who had contested the Assembly polls from South Goa.

Sources said the Chintan Baithak discussed the 2022 election campaign, both positive and negatives and the way forward for AAP in Goa.

It has been decided to revamp the party organisation, and go for an intensive membership drive.

Sources said the issue of the ensuing Panchayat election was discussed at the meeting, leaders said individual party volunteers should be left to take a call on throwing their hat in the ring for the local body polls.

A similar meeting will be held in North Goa as well, sources added.
