AAP files plaint into Spaces Interior scam

Panaji

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday filed a complaint at the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in regard to the alleged ‘Spaces Interiors Scam.’

In light of the documents procured by United Goans Foundation that revealed that CM Parrikar and seven others had been involved in a corruption scam while giving the consultancy and contract for the Spaces building, the AAP has asked the ACB to file an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act, IPC and other laws.

The letter to the ACB signed by AAP leader Sunil Signapurkar reads, “These acts tantamount to gross violation of the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act read with the Indian Penal Code, which are cognisable offences, and as such are punishable under the said laws.” It asks the ACB to “investigate the case further.”

On October 20, UGF had filed complaints with the Chief Vigilance Officer/Chief Secretary, and the Director General of Police, asking them to look into corruption charges of the seven accused.
