AAP State Convener Elvis Gomes has pointed out that the episode is a clear cut conspiracy against the Delhi

government by the ruling

dispensation.

“The episode is a conspiracy against the Delhi government by the BJP and Congress who could not rest in their attempts to derail the good governance initiatives of the Delhi government under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal,” Gomes said adding that the manner in which 20 of AAP’s Delhi legislators were disqualified by the President of India accusing them of holding offices of profit without hearing them was undemocratic.

AAP Goa Secretary Pradip Padgaonkar further lambasted the government for its failure to provide people with basic amenities and appealed to the people to start supporting good candidates.

“We are on the ground with the people and have seen closely their remorse having failed to vote for an alternative. If people vote for good candidates, political parties will be forced to field good candidates. AAP had attempted this experiment in Goa in 2017 but people missed the boat. Now it is time to do a rethink,” he said.

AAP committed to bring change

in systemic: Gomes

QUEPEM: Stating that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is committed to bring a change in the system, AAP State Convenor Elvis Gomes said the party strives to fulfill the needs of the people by listening to them.

Gomes was speaking at an AAP public meeting in the municipal garden at Quepem on Sunday evening.

“The AAP is committed to bring a change in the system as some who had shown the moon and stars to the people have turned out to be traitors and self-centric, forgetting the promises they made to the people during elections. The AAP is the only party which can bring this change,” said Gomes.

Gomes said people should start questioning the ruling MLA why he could not provide basic facilities like toilets, drinking water, roads, schools and medical facilities to villagers, when he is being elected for the last 20 years.

“Where is the development when villagers are suffering without basic amenities?”

Highlighting the development of AAP in Delhi, Gomes said although Delhi government is targeted from all sides, the government has done wonders in the field of education and health care and people are happy with AAP.

Pradeep Padgaonkar said the government had promised common minimum programme while forming the government and the people are still waiting for it just like some are still waiting for Rs 15 lakh, which were promised to them.

Ravindra Gaonkar and Ragi highlighted the hardship they are facing in the villages due to insufficient basic means, especially education and drinking water. Rajashree Nagarshekar said AAP might have lost the election, but it would not give up working for the people and would raise their issues and stand by them to get their rights. Adv John Fernandes and James Fernandes also spoke on the occasion.
