Censuring the State government for blaming people for its mismanagement of Covid crisis, the AamAadmi Party on Saturday said the government should, in fact, provide proper facilities and make the information available to the public.
AAP has also said that the oximeter campaign launched by the party has been receiving good response in various parts of the State.
The party slammed the health minister for blaming Goans for the rise in deaths in the State.
The health minister had said people were getting admitted in the hospital when it was late.
“Health Minister VishwajitRane has failed to implement even the most basic of preventive healthcare and check the spread of Covid in the State and now blames Goans for it. At a time when people are distraught at losing their family members, Rane has the arrogance and audacity to blame the departed for passing away,” said AAP leader, Rahul Mhambre.
The AAP leader along with North Goa convenor, Sunil Signapurkar and Aldona coordinator, Bruno Fernandes were addressing the media in Mapusa.
Continuing, Mhambre said the health ministry shows a badly managed and sometimes misleading health bulletin daily.
The AAP leader also said the government should be transparent and provide all details online so that people of Goa can access the Covid-related info.
He said AAP had asked the government some time back to provide oximeters to people, but it failed to act and further informed the party’s oximeter campaign was getting very good response across the State.
