A political buzz has gripped Goa after a photo of AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Goa leader Mariano Rodrigues meeting over coffee went viral on social media.
According to sources, the two leaders were engaged in a discussion centred on the idea of political unity for the welfare of Goa and Goans. “The meeting was informal, but the focus was on the larger question of unity to safeguard Goa’s interests,” a source said.
While no official statement has been made by either leader regarding a formal alliance, the image has already triggered speculation in political circles. Observers note that with the state’s political landscape witnessing frequent realignments, such interactions carry significant weight.
Political analysts believe that talks of unity, even at an informal level, could open new possibilities ahead of upcoming electoral battles in the State.
